The battery in most Landrover Defenders is located under the passenger seat and not in the engine bay. The industry standard winch power cable length of 1.8m and not long enough to reach so needs to be extended.

One of the most common problems we hear of is where power cables have been extended using inadequate cable or low grade jump lead cable. This results in significant degradation to the winch performance, overheating, and even a risk of fire.

• Heavy-duty CEMBRE solid copper tube ring terminal lugs, annealed for maximum ductility and tin-plated to prevent oxidisation hydraulically crimped on and sheathed with heavy-duty heat shrink sleeving.
