• High strength, 70% stronger than steel wire for a given diameter.
• Light-weight, 8x lighter than steel wire for a given strength.
• Can be used with conventional roller fairleads (providing the roller surface is not scored).
• Floats, an obvious benefit when winching in waterlogged conditions or flooded environments.
• Unlike steel wire, Recoverline will not kink and lose strength.
• Steel wire will crush and lose strength if overlapped on a winch drum. Recoverline will not lose strength when overlapped or crushed.
• In the unlikely event of breakage, there is virtually no recoil, unlike steel wire where recoil is extremely dangerous.
• Extensive trials have also found that winch lines with Dyneema need to be replaced less frequently than steel wire.
